Our Medical Cases: Giving Animals a Second Chance
At Homeless Pets Foundation, we pride ourselves on taking on medical cases that others might overlook. We believe every pet deserves a chance, even those with serious medical needs. From surgeries to special care, we provide the treatment and support that these animals need to heal and thrive.
We rescue pets that may otherwise have no hope—injured, ill, or with long-term care needs. With your help, we can give them the chance they deserve.

Stevie – the blind Pitbull Puppy
Meet Stevie, a brave and resilient pup who came to us at just 8 weeks old after his owner decided he didn’t want him upon discovering that Stevie was blind. After consulting with an ophthalmologist, we learned that Stevie was in pain in both eyes, so we made the decision to have them removed. Today, Stevie is thriving in his forever home, full of joy and love. His new family adores him, and he’s living his best life! 💙
Zoe – misdiagnosed aggression
Meet Zoe, a 10-year-old Yorkie mix who was surrendered to us due to her aggression. We soon discovered that her behavior was likely a result of the pain she was in from large bladder stones and a dental abscess. After successful surgery to address both issues, Zoe is now pain-free and thriving in her loving forever home. She’s a sweet, happy girl once again, enjoying her new life without the discomfort that once caused her distress. 💙
Helen – Fearless Fighter!
Meet Helen, a brave mama cat who was rescued from a high-kill shelter after being abandoned at a fire station with her four kittens. Helen has been battling corneal edema and glaucoma in her left eye, causing her significant pain. Her right eye was malformed, likely due to the impact of feline herpesvirus during development. To give her relief, Helen underwent a double enucleation (removal of both eyes). After her surgery, she found her forever home with the practicing veterinarian who performed the procedure. Helen is now living a happy, pain-free life, surrounded by love and care. 💙
Walker – Genetic Issue does not make him unadoptable
Meet Walker, a 9-month-old Coton de Tulear who was abandoned at PetSmart due to a peeing problem. After a thorough examination, we diagnosed him with a rare genetic condition called diabetes insipidus, which causes excessive urination. With the right medication, Walker’s condition is well-managed, and he’s now living happily in a wonderful forever home. His new family loves him dearly, and he’s thriving, enjoying his life to the fullest! 💙
Sia – Broken Hearted to Loved!
Meet Sia, a sweet cat who was rescued from a hoarding situation along with her siblings. Found living in a cramped crate, Sia had been a victim of severe neglect. She initially started to decline, and after a vet examination, we discovered she had a heart murmur. With the right medication and care, Sia’s health improved, and she began to thrive. Now, she’s living in a loving forever home, where she’s cherished and adored. Sia’s journey is a testament to resilience and the power of compassion! 💙
Rosie – the fighter!
Meet Rosie, a courageous pup who came to us after being rescued from a house fire. Partnering with a local rural shelter, we learned that Rosie’s owners couldn’t afford her care, and she was left at the shelter where she received treatment for severe burns covering 20% of her body. While in the shelter, Rosie also became heartworm positive. Once in our care, we worked hard to treat her heartworms and support her healing journey. Rosie’s resilience paid off when she was adopted by one of our wonderful volunteers, where she is now living a happy, healthy life surrounded by love! 💙
