We were concerned when 9 year old Piper was surrendered into our program. Older pets have a difficult time adjusting to shelter life and often wait a while to be adopted. Fate played a good hand though!
At a Petsmart adoption event Piper caught the eye of a woman with three Yorkies and a sympathetic heart. The Yorkies gave their paw stamp of approval on adding gentle Piper to their pack and the deal was done.
Thank you for being Piper’s rescue angel! Best wishes to the new family!
Dr. Phil Good, owner of Town & Country Veterinary Clinic, received his Bachelor of Science with highest honors in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2006. Phil finally came to his senses, realizing he’d much rather work with animals than in a chemical plant. Dr. Good obtained his doctorate in veterinary medicine from UGA in 2011.
Bolt sprung out of here just one day before he was scheduled to be transported to New York as part of a shelter-to-shelter exchange. He’ll live locally now and enjoy being part of an active family. Thank you for adopting!

Angie who’s deaf and had been abandoned in a fenced industrial property along with her brother Blake has been given a new “leash” on life! Thank you so much for giving this pretty girl a chance! Congrats to the new family!
Fame was one of our many orphaned kittens that we’ve rescued this year. He came to us tiny and fighting for his life. Our amazing bottle feeding volunteer nursed him back to health and now he has a family to call his own.
A year ago we celebrated the adoption of Lily, who’d been waiting a year for someone to want her. Since she was people-focused and calm, she’d just sit there and look into your face and many potential adopters were intimidated (though Lily was usually thinking, “Do you have a cookie?”) Lily turned out to be…
