What does an HPF volunteer choose when her family tells her to pick out a birthday gift herself? To rescue a dog of course! Mary chose our own Tink (who she actually named too, back when he first entered our program – so maybe she knew then he was destined to be hers?)
Tink was born with a birth defect no one had corrected and recently had to have one of his front legs removed. He’s recovering like a champ – in the comfort of his new home with Mary and family. Congrats to the Stockstills and thank you for volunteering AND adopting!
Dr. Phil Good, owner of Town & Country Veterinary Clinic, received his Bachelor of Science with highest honors in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2006. Phil finally came to his senses, realizing he’d much rather work with animals than in a chemical plant. Dr. Good obtained his doctorate in veterinary medicine from UGA in 2011.
The family who picked Troy spent a long time picking out which of Toni’s eight babies was the perfect one for them. They’re looking to mend hearts broken from having to say goodbye to their family dog a few months ago. Best wishes to the new family! Thank you for adopting.
Rita’s finished living life in the fast lane! She was one of the three dogs we took in who’d been rescued off busy Interstate-20. Now she’s headed home! Rita got a great home with this active animal-loving family. Rita caught their eye because of her resemblance to their dog who’d recently passed away. Rita passed…
This young woman had her eye on Hershey for a few weeks but was planning a move, so wasn’t quite ready to adopt. She’s finally all settled in to her new place and brought Hershey home. Happy purrs sweet boy!
This family, who wasn’t intending to adopt, happened to stop by our adoption event as they passed us to run errands. Daphne, (left) caught their eye and they thought she’d make a good playmate for their retriever (right). Daphne was supposed to have already been put back in her kennel downstairs and another dog brought…
Chevy’s past is a mystery. He came into the Homeless Pets Foundation at 32lbs back in March…as a full grown boxer. To say the least, he was severely emaciated and needed nutrition! With some love from Homeless Pets and a great new family, he’s now a strong, healthy 75lbs of pure love 🙂 Chevy’s new…
This all-female (except dad, of course) family wanted a male pup to balance the scales a bit. I’m sure the feminine attention will be more than welcome to the sweet puppy they picked and named Herschel. Congratulations Herschel!
