Lena was a very special cat to the volunteers at Homeless Pets Foundation. She was found as a tiny kitten with part of one of her back legs missing. We believe that she got herself caught in a trap. She was very lucky to have survived, but our vet decided that it was best to have her leg amputated at the hip. She recovered very well after her surgery and you wouldn’t know that she had a missing leg because it doesn’t slow her down at all.

I just wanted to post an update on two adorable kittens (Sonoma and Napa) I adopted in June. They are growing so quickly. They are now known as Morticia and Gomez.
They are so much fun. A couple weeks after they came home, I was making iced coffee and accidentally dropped an ice cube on the floor. They heard it and started playing with it across the floor. Now, any time I go near the refrigerator, they are right there, looking up, waiting for me to throw them an ice cube. Fun stuff. -Steve Vaillancourt
