From pitiful to pampered in a matter of months. Rosa was rescued from a cruelty case in November. She was skin and bones. Despite everything, she showed she still had trust in humans and would try to crawl in your lap and curl up like a dog a quarter of her size!
Craig saw Rosa at one of our adoption events and convinced Lauriel they COULD foster a pit bull (they already have two at home). After a couple of weeks our foster coordinator called to remind the couple to bring Rosa to our next adoption event. They did us one better – they showed up and filled out the adoption paperwork for her themselves! Congratulations to Rosa for finding new parents who’ll treat her like she always deserved to be treated! Thank you for adopting!!!
Dr. Phil Good, owner of Town & Country Veterinary Clinic, received his Bachelor of Science with highest honors in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2006. Phil finally came to his senses, realizing he’d much rather work with animals than in a chemical plant. Dr. Good obtained his doctorate in veterinary medicine from UGA in 2011.
News flash: Happy Dog Gets Adopted, Makes Others Happy Too! Matilda’s tail is constantly wagging. Now she’ll spread her cheer to her new family which includes her new mom (pictured with HPF volunteer Mary), her Gwinnett Braves announcer dad and new Chihuahua and Terrier siblings! Willow’s new family has her decked out in style! She’s now called Olive and will be doted on by a mom and pop, two teenage sisters and two preteen brothers. That should make for one VERY spoiled former shelter dog! Thank you so much for adopting this perky pup!
This couple met Bella Saturday at the Red Hare Brewing Company 5k (an event Red Hare generously donated proceeds from – THANK YOU!!!). They had lots of questions about this little 4-pound bundle of love. Guess who was waiting for us the next day when we arrived with dogs at our adoption event? Yes, Bella…
While driving to work one day on Wednesday, October, 2010, a Good Samaritan, Erik, passed an apparently dead dog laying in the median of a busy Atlanta, GA highway. When he took one last look at the poor dog in her rear-view mirror, he saw the dog raise its head. The dog was still alive!…
Oh Suzie Q. Oh Suzie Q! Say you’ll be mine, all the time, Suzie Q. (What, you don’t know that song?) Suzie Q ALMOST didn’t selected to go to Petsmart adoptions a couple of weeks ago. And this couple ALMOST walked by without noticing her. But she did and they didn’t, and now she’s no…
