Charlie Was a Member of the Family From Day One

Charlie’s new mom, Jennifer had these kind words:

“We adopted Charlie from you in October of last year, and I wanted to make sure that the people who knew Charlie through Homeless Pets all get to know how happy he is in our family.

He’s a very good boy, who still loves belly rubs, and is now in his second obedience class. He’s very smart and loves to play, sleep, and snuggle all day. We love him so much, and everybody we meet comments on what a handsome boy he is and love his tricks (he can sit, shake, lay down, and give high fives!).

He’s definitely a Southern dog, and loves his sweaters in the house, and won’t go outside without his coat if it’s colder than 40 degrees! But he loved the snow and had fun digging in it and eating it.

I’ve attached some pictures so you can see how much he’s grown and some of his antics. We have lots of videos of playtime, too. His New Hampshire grandparents can’t get enough of him, and he’s a big ham for the camera!

Thank you so much for finding him and bringing him into our home. He’s been a member of our family since the first day he walked in the door. ”

Mildred came our way via a north GA animal control facility. They were full and animals were at risk of being killed due to lack of space. She. Was. Terrified. She clung to the volunteer who brought her in like her life depended on it. And it kind of did. After weeks at our shelter…

A year ago we celebrated the adoption of Lily, who’d been waiting a year for someone to want her. Since she was people-focused and calm, she’d just sit there and look into your face and many potential adopters were intimidated (though Lily was usually thinking, “Do you have a cookie?”) Lily turned out to be…
