A year ago we celebrated the adoption of Lily, who’d been waiting a year for someone to want her. Since she was people-focused and calm, she’d just sit there and look into your face and many potential adopters were intimidated (though Lily was usually thinking, “Do you have a cookie?”)
Lily turned out to be one of the calmest and sweetest dogs ever to walk through our doors and the family who adopted her agrees.
Today Lily’s living the good life and was just featured on a website that hopes to change the perception that pit bulls are to be feared. Lily’s a great spokesdog for the breed! We’re proud of her and her adoptive family, the Sextons! 🙂
Dr. Phil Good, owner of Town & Country Veterinary Clinic, received his Bachelor of Science with highest honors in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2006. Phil finally came to his senses, realizing he’d much rather work with animals than in a chemical plant. Dr. Good obtained his doctorate in veterinary medicine from UGA in 2011.
Charlie was surrendered by his owner, then adopted within days, but returned because he and the kids weren’t a good match. He was snapped up a couple of days after being returned and we’re hoping the third time is the charm. Looks promising! Congrats and thank you for adopting this little guy!
3 youngsters are in for a happy evening! Mom (camera shy) and Pop came in earlier today to adopt Zak. Wish we could be there when they meet their new furry brother! Congrats to all!
We adopted Sweetie Pie from Dr. Good and we love her. I have pledged to Dr. Good to become an active member of the Homeless Pets Foundation and I am excited to help!  -Kim Kalla Donoan
