A year ago we celebrated the adoption of Lily, who’d been waiting a year for someone to want her. Since she was people-focused and calm, she’d just sit there and look into your face and many potential adopters were intimidated (though Lily was usually thinking, “Do you have a cookie?”)
Lily turned out to be one of the calmest and sweetest dogs ever to walk through our doors and the family who adopted her agrees.
Today Lily’s living the good life and was just featured on a website that hopes to change the perception that pit bulls are to be feared. Lily’s a great spokesdog for the breed! We’re proud of her and her adoptive family, the Sextons! 🙂
Dr. Phil Good, owner of Town & Country Veterinary Clinic, received his Bachelor of Science with highest honors in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2006. Phil finally came to his senses, realizing he’d much rather work with animals than in a chemical plant. Dr. Good obtained his doctorate in veterinary medicine from UGA in 2011.

Cheeto’s new mom and dad are smitten. They say that he’s the best cat they ever had, he’s spoiled and gets to eat dinner in bed sometimes, and is working on his fishing skills (for the fishies sake we hope he doesn’t succeed!). It’s a happy ending for us and a happy beginning for them.
George got a new mama! And she’s a repeat HPF adopter so he gets a look-a-like sister out of the bargain too!. Congratulations and thank you for adopting!
Raina got lucky! She was picked out of all the adoptable dogs in town to be a new family member of this happy lady, her hubby, their four kids and their cat! They’ve all welcomed this sweet girl into their home with open arms (we were a little worried about how the cat would feel…
Here is Newton (former member) and his border collie big brother, Bally. We adopted Newton (or did he adopt us?) three years ago. He’s a real clown and not a day goes by that he doesn’t share his cuteness with us! Â -Kim Koran
